ONE LAST TIME!

The Famous 2-Mile Oval - end of an Era

Going into the 2023 Nascar Season, as usual one of the early races for the year is at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. This one however is the last one ever to be held on the 2-mile oval track. Auto Club has sold the property and this historic race track is about to become homes to warehouses… That is correct, No More Nascar Racing on the Fast pace race track that has been open since 1997 and has held numerous Automotive events and races over the years. It has been a Track favorite for several of drivers over the years and is centrally located in Southern California. With being less than 1 hour away from the beach, it invited the costal and inland people who all share the same love for motorsports!

This being said, Executive Vehicle Services could not miss the opportunity to attend the Last Race! It was a spectacular turn out, with the grand stands nearly being sold out. All the Drivers put on a great performance and entertained thousands of Southern California Residents. It was an amazing expirience and a bit sad to see the establishment go away. It has become a Landmark to SoCal and so much more!

With Race Tracks closing all over the United States, This is another one we are adding to the list and No it is not being replaced with a new one of the same caliber. A Very small, 1/2 mile track will be build in the upcoming years in the corner of the property to continue racing but it will not be the same at all. What was beautiful about the the current track is the jaw-dropping speeds these cars would carry into turn 1. This weekend the leader cars were coming into turn 1 @ 197MPH! These are speeds you will only see on Large Tracks meaning those speeds are not going to be a thought for the new 1/2mile track.  As Automotive Enthusiasts, it is our job to stand for the facilities that allow us to fulfill our fascinations, dreams, realities, and more! We can’t let these race tracks to continue to disappear all over our country. It was awesome to see so many people enjoying the sport of Nascar this weekend, cheering their favorite drivers, and all enjoying a historical event peacefully!
